Sineads interest in showjumping began at an early age and she competed in the pony classes at the RDS & Millstreet with KEC Little Magee, KEC Little Nakita & KEC Archdeacon Clover.

As a youg rider she was also very successful winning rosettes at the RDS with KEC Fascination, Alanca Z, Lancelot and she also competed in her first Grand Prix in the Main Arena in Millstreet with Alanca Z.

Following on from the dissappointment of breaking her leg days before the RDS in 2009 Sinead enjoyed great success in 2010 campaigning KEC Alicante on the Chippison, Munster & National Grand Prix Leagues. Sinead accounted for a number of 2nd placings in the Chippison League, in addition to a 2nd, 5th & 6th placings on the National Grand Prix Circuit and winning the Munster Grand Prix in Ballinamona.

KEC Alligator Alley had a fantastic August & September placing 6th in the Millstreet GP, 9th in the Premier League Final in Ennis & also placed in the Cavan Grand Prix. Sineads young horses also competed well throughout 2010. Sineads has a number of aims for 2011;
  • KEC Alligator Alley(ISH, 9 yrs x Aldatus Z) - try to be competitive on the Premier Grand Prix League & step him up to International Level.
  • KEC Playing Tag (Oldenburg, 7yrs) - will be aimed at the Munster GP League & the Boomerang.
  • KEC Cocktail Jet (ISH, 6yrs x Aldatus Z) - had a very good August & September last season with rosettes in Millstreet & Co. Clare 5 Yr Old Championships. He will be aimed at the IHB Classes & the Boomerang and will hoefully replace KEC Alicante as Sineads next GP horse
  • KEC Rejane Platiere (SF, 6yrs x Quite Easy) - she came into herself the end of 2010 & she will be one to watch for this season and will be aimed at the Munster Grand Prix league later in the summer & the Boomerang.
  • KEC Hi Jinx - (ISH 5 yr old x Maltstriker) is a very blood mare with lots of ability and Sinead hopes that she will be ready for the 1.10m in March/April & then be ready for the IHB Classes & then on to Millstreet.
Sinead also has some lovely youngsters, including 2 very special 4 year old mares, they are the first foals of KEC Zeta & Kilbrim Diamond and these mares will be prepared for the 4 Year Old Championships during the summer.

Sinead is really looking forward to 2011, stating that "there are plenty of competitions & shows in Munster to keep me busy. I will be aiming to do most of the Munster League as I have 3 horses that will be moving up a level, they wont be competitive this summer in the league but the tracks are well built & encourage the rider & horses to improve week on week".
