FBD Munster 1.20m Speed Series
Action in the FBD Munster 1.20m Speed Series moved to Co Waterford, on Thursday 30th June for the Aglish Charity Gymkhana, on the lands of the Connery Family, the Anne Waistell designed track saw some 53 horse and rider combinations cross through the start, with 27 of them getting into the second phase.
It was North Cork Native Timmy Doyle who claimed the spoils at the Aglish Charity Gymkhana, Timmy riding Kay Doyles Casino B, the combination who were third same series in Bandon a couple of weeks previous, having led the class from a very early stage, the pair managed to claim victory breaking the beam clear in a time of 33.51.
Second position was filled by Waterford man Francis Connors, Aboard Oliver Twister, owned by Heffron Equine Ltd, they were clear in a time of 34.40, Francis Also filling the third spot was Francis this time with Helen Connors, East wind F the winner of no less than two previous legs of the series, they were clear in a time of 34.49
Claiming fourth was Colligan man Peter Moloney riding Ann Forans, grey gelding Ballyconery Wood crossed the line in 36.03 and clear, the fifth spot stayed local to the venue again, Tholm Keane riding the Tom Cahill owned Newmarket Valentine, the six-year-old mare broke the beam in a time of 37.68, filling the final spot in the lineup was Lisa Hitchmough, the Cork native crossed the line in a time of 39.56 and clear with the Cormac Hitchmough owned Sharoe Splendour.
From Aglish action in the FBD Munster 1.20m Speed series moves up the west coast to Co Clare for the West Clare Show on Saturday the 2nd of July, before moving back to Co Cork on Sunday, July 10th for the Cork Summer show
