The FBD 1.20M Speed Series was officially launched on Wednesday 27th of April in Kilconnell Stud, home of Seamus Hayes and Maria Costello, the FBD 1.20M Speed series, now entering its second season in existence proved to be a great success in the 2015 season, providing top class entertainment for
spectators and great competition to competitors.
The FBD 1.20M Speed series is a two-phase class run in conjunction with the Munster Grand Prix at 18 locations around Munster, with the opening leg getting underway this Monday 2nd of May at Ballylawn show, and running throughout the summer with the final at Banteer Show in September. Speaking on behalf of Munster Leagues was Kieran O Donovan Munster National Competitions representative “We are delighted to be welcoming back FBD Insurance for their second year sponsoring the 1.20M Speed Series, the league last year provided some top class jumping for competitors and spectators alike, along with raising the level of competition and the standard of jumping in the region, it has also been a great stepping stone for young horses and young riders alike hoping to jump in the Grand Prix Series. Without the likes of FBD coming on board, it would be impossible to run such leagues, and to create the standard of jumping we have in the region today, to them we are extremely grateful”
